    It sounds like this will be rolled out elsewhere eventually as the Met Office continues to upgrade it's radar network - but this looks seriously impressive. We all want to know how big the flakes coming our way are so we know whether we can get away with a lamppost watch or whether they're going to be so miniscule that we need to set up a chair in the garden

    I’m surprised this isn’t bigger news. The UK finally has doppler radar. This radar can see snowfall falling, as opposed to current model based PPN type radars
