There are loads of websites for "prepping" with loads of info. Take your pick depending on your levels of anxiety concering: weather, natural disasters, crisis capitalism, pandemics or zombies...

I already feel like a zombie right now. Model fatigue is not good for the health

Did anyone just see the BBC forecast.

2-4c maxes for early next week with a chance of snow on Tuesday, but staying mostly dry.

No mention of windchill, or sub zero days, or frequent snow showers.

A fairly un-inspiring forecast

Looks like we can safely say the severe cold spell is coming... now we just need to find the snow to make it perfect for us

They’re really not giving much away. Wonder if they will tomorrow.

Cold? Yes. V Cold? Eventually, Yes.

Snow? Hmmm......i still think we are in one of more sheltered spots here in Bristol. But, other parts of our area like South coast, IoW, S Devon, Cornwall, far east of our area are prob in firing line from 'the off'.

I still think, for most of our area, the biggest threat of disruptive snow comes towards end of next week when pressure starts to fall from the South/South West.

That is my take anyway.

All i ask.... is for No Repeat of March '13. Dry, cold but no snow - no ta!

Meteogroup these days.

Continually underplaying temps. Today forecast to be 6/7c for here; actual max was 3c.

At work today people were starting to talk about the cold spell in trowbridge but every person was like... meh just a cold frosty week for us, wont see snow down here. 

Hope they are all wrong but more often than not they are correct

It’s crazy isn’t it! I just can’t quite believe that these models have churned out day after day of yummy ooziness lately. It’s just amazing!!

March 2013 was a nightmare for my location, 2-3c day and night and near constant cloud cover with zero precip.

Never want that again.

This setup looks a lot different, but as always we will probably last to the snow party. Still can't grumble, plenty to look forward too

Their temperature forecasts are abysmal. But, funnily enough, they under-cooked it for me today. They had me down for 5°C but it managed 6.9°C

But why would they believe us.... 2010 was last time they had it proper and even then they only seen a moderate covering where i work. .

AHA...I thought as much,Bristle Boy has saved my sanity.Much has been said about March 2013,to me it passed with little interest here,yes I remember some non settling flurries,but as I cant find the work diary,no real proof.In reality 09 and 10 are the only 2 occasions in my 27 years down here where ive seen settling snow during daylight hours,this might,i stress might be the third.
