Happy Easter (well almost)

Will it be warm and pleasant, cold and snowy or the English favourite (Wet and cold). We will find out in the coming days.

So then, just to really clarify this, it would be nice if the chat was generally weather related. Of course moderation will be a lot more easy going in here, but can we avoid going off in random segways which span several pages. This is a weather forum formost.

Thank you and of course, be polite and courteous in here.

Yes definitely felt like spring today but dew point around 0c all day made it feel fresh in the shadows. Not sure what to expect this weekend not much chance of Easter eggs melting I suppose.

All we need is a correction south and we could see heavy lying snow

So snow for the Chilterns and Cotswolds based on that chart. It's a pity the cold air can't push that bit futher south. It's also a pity with the jet stream to the south of us, that we can't get a high pressure to establish over Greenland, so we could have a proper arctic blast.

Heavy snow threatening on backedge on Euro4 was surprising to see, I can see there being sleet/ wet snow for hills of SE England I think this is a bit OTT evaporative cooking the crucial element.

Fairly sure there would be the mild sector goes to the south of London as it pulls away colder air undercuts for all evaporative cooling the decider.

Reminds me of November/December sliders,  very windy with sleet.

Hiya all. I really thought we were over this cold weather... Today was glorious in the sunshine and not too bad out of it. I really could't see our region getting too much in the way of wintry ppn, but the latest runs might be showing a late surprise! If there is any chance of any ppn settling, then the temps and rainfall need to be just right for anything of consequence.

At the moment it looks like being a daytime event for most in our region so, if we see anything wintry, it is unlikely that anything will settle in my view.

Beautiful weather for much of the day here, plenty of sunshine and felt very mild at 13C, until later in the day when the cloud increased. Looks proper crapola for the next week, lots of rain and chilly at times.
