We've had nothing more than a few spots of rain in London today. The rain band moving down towards the SE has decayed with very little left on it.

We're still largely bone dry down here.

Well I’m not sure what happened, but it managed not to rain again. So we go on!

8.8mm last night with the radar accumulation suggesting we had as much as anyone in the SW.

Total this month up to 25.7mm so the grass will green up a bit and remain partly green around here.

What app do you use to see the previous days radar returns or rain accumulation?

That was an image I had saved from NW extra showing the previous 24 hours, there are also national maps for previous days/weeks/months.
Not sure if any free sites have accumulation maps though.

Rainfall well and truly splattered is last evening/overnight - 20mm here in Cambridge. No rain dry spell well and truly busted with those storms, more to come at the weekend.

A couple of light showers yesterday afternoon, but still hardly enough to measure. We finally had some proper rain in the early hours giving us about 5mm, which is more than our entire rainfall since 3 June.

Not much rain last night not even enough to dampen the dust, now the strong winds have dried it up.

Hopefully the showers will get their act together and do something not bring dribbles.

And then later tonight into sunday I want to see half an inch of rain at least,an inch would be ideal, not making much effect of the growing grass from the other Fridays rain at all.

5mm overnight to add to the 5mm last Friday. Brings us to 10mm for the summer to date (we keep missing all thunderstorms here in my part of the world), so definitely still in drought if not exactly rain free.

Forecast for tomorrow looks to break the spell though. At least I won't have to spend half an hour watering the plants for the next couple of nights anyway!

Only a very few lighter than light showers that only damped the ground for a few minutes.   Soil dry as a bone inches deep.

well established shrubs showing signs of distress now.

looks like the rain clouds are passing us by and going up the coast away from us now.

Some places have had a huge amount of rain last 2 days, northern Ireland must be in serious floods today looking at the radar.

Big shower clouds about today, but always going the wrong side, did have 1 shower this afternoon not amounting to much.

There was a heavy shower of rain yesterday morning with some rumbles of thunder and lightning.
