Misty and drizzly to start, This slowly cleared to give an overcast and dry end to the morning.

The afternoon slowly saw some brighter and then sunnier spells by evening.  21c

Not a massive fan of these South Westerly winds.

A hot and dry day with long periods of sunshine, especially mid-afternoon onwards. The maximum temperature of 28.5C was the warmest in August since 2001 and 4th warmest since 1980. The sunshine total from 1st May - 2nd August stands at 796hrs compared to the long-term average of 591hrs.
