Will we get another thunderstorm this summer?

The last decent ones down in the south were in late May and early June. 

Would be nice to get another thunderstorm before summer is out.

Doesn't look like it's gonna happen in August but September looking more promising for both heat and thunderstorms

I've given up hope myself. No CAPE/LI on the charts for the foreseeable future (when I last checked). Maritime climates are damn boring in the summer that's for sure.

We used to get them in August years ago. The August storms I remember were 1981 and August 22nd 1987, which is almost exactly 31 years ago.

August 1987 storms happened after a hot spell. I remember it well.
