    I've given up hope myself. No CAPE/LI on the charts for the foreseeable future (when I last checked). Maritime climates are damn boring in the summer that's for sure.

    We used to get them in August years ago. The August storms I remember were 1981 and August 22nd 1987, which is almost exactly 31 years ago.

    August 1987 storms happened after a hot spell. I remember it well.
