I got a cracking deal too. I'm on 3 and 4 though, staying an extra few days at the end too.

Out of interest, how much is everyone paying this year? I've been looking since July, and the best deals to DFW from MAN or LHR without some 26 hour flight, are only £850 to £930. Usually, they get around £500-£600. Will eventually bite the bullet, but seems a lot more this year to fly to america. Dublin to Chicago to DFW/DEN seems a lot cheaper though, around £530.

Any ideas if flights via Heathrow will drop?

In my experience, once you get past new year you're not going to get any bargains. I reckon you've got a month or so. I booked mine in August and got a direct to Denver for £470-something from Heathrow, and not with crappy BA

Yeah DFW flights are around £830 today return. Who are you flying with Nick?

Hmmm, ok, looks like alternatives instead of LHR are more than reasonably priced. What is the earliest time roughly that should you be looking at leaving DFW on departure day?

Mid-afternoon onwards. Leaving morning/early afternoon just adds more pressure to get back in time and could potentially wipe out a chase day.

Wow that sounds a bargain, do they give you bread & water on the flight?

Hmm, means Paul whips the drivers into a frenzy to get them to "Get their @rse in gear" and get going..

To be honest an earl morning/early afternoon flight screws the day before because you have to be in driving distance of the departure city, which can be very hard on the drivers..

It’s American Airlines and I’ve not had any complaints TBH

He beats us mercilessly every morning regardless.

And my last flight with AA was superb. The American carriers are decent, it's BA you want to avoid, shocking these days.
