    A dry, clear and mild night ( though it did just manage a ground frost) and a warm and sunny start to this morning. Very low humidity again, 50% at 0900.

    After yesterday's dense fog that lasted until lunch, today is sunny and clear. It is warming nicely from a low of -0.3C and the frost has nearly all melted. Now 4.5C.

    Another clear night, colder than recently with a widespread sharp frost. Mist and shallow fog patches forming over near by fields. Sunny so far this morning, frost melting. Unbroken sunshine throughout, feeling very mild and pleasant in the sunshine.

    A good inversion this morning. When I left the house the temp was 7C however going down only a little bit you could feel the premature drop and there was a ground frost. Anyway a lovely spring like day well early may more like

    This amazing weather continues, yet another warm day with wall to wall sunshine, a mx of 19.2 C

    This is probably the warmest winter day in this area, the previous Mx's are, including RAF Finningley data from 1942-1995

    January 15.0  5th 1957

    February today + 18.9 here 1998 and 18.6 here 25 th 2012, Finn=17.9 on 23 rd 1990

    December=3 dates (not given)=15.5 C

    Another cold clear start with a ground frost then dry, sunny and exceptionally warm for February. Today was by far the warmest February day on record in Reading. Maximum 20.0 (just made it! 19.6 at the university, the nearest official station), minimum 0.4. Wind light E.

    • Wet March so far with more rain for the rest of the month, but hints of more settled weather early April

      It's been a wet March for much of the UK, with well above average rainfall, though the Northern & Western Isles have been drier than average.
