cant help thinking the guys to the NW are chasing a dream and the storms to the southwest of Amarillo will be the stonkers.

It does seem to be congealing up there, a couple of wall clouds looked fantastic on some of the streams for a while, but look down at Adrian, TX and Hereford, TX storms now.

The storms later are supposed to be large single supercells, looks like Bob Pack is well placed on that one, its immense.

I'm in touch with some friends who have pulled off the road in west Amarillo and they are taking shots of clouds in various directions as requested, so far, just looks like your typical overcast day with jumbled black, grey and white without much ominous structure (yet). I think the cell now west of Plainview is headed n.n.e. for east Amarillo (near KAMA) in about an hour. Outflow boundary from that might produce the eventual tornadic cells to cross I-40 a little east of there in about 2 hours.

My contacts are on the southeast edge of the latest tor warned cell in northwest Amarillo. This is a view of it (credit Mark Fournier, 2105z)

Bob Pack is now following his lovely cell, it looks like Brandon Clement has gone in front of it - wonder if he will get his drone out!

Looks like another small one about to go tornadic near downtown Amarillo, the southeast cell of the two now following the tor warned cell (has gone wind warned). Contacts tell me there is frequent thunder in several directions. I told them to hit the bathroom for a while and let this do its thing. (they are storm avoiders rather than chasers)
