Persistent heavy rain since late Friday afternoon a stronger wind this evening along with the rain from the north east gusting to around  25mph

Temp 11.1c but feeling cooler given the conditions

Yesterday's rain cleared to the north during the early evening and the rest of the night was mainly dry with intermittent hill fog. Further rain arrived from the west around 0530 g.m.t and has persisted since, most of it light.

Clear spells followed the rain for a time last night, before turning cloudy again thought the early hours. Further rain setting in around dawn. Rain moderate at times so far this morning.

 

Maximum temperature to 18:00 GMT yesterday 19.0c.

Minimum temperature overnight 7.8c

24-hour maximum 19.0c

24-hour minimum 7.8c

Clear spells overnight. Sunny spells for a short time this morning, high and medium level cloud increasing hiding the sun before mid morning. Rain set in after mid morning, this turning heavy at times. The afternoon and early evening saw more continuous rain, this moderate and heavy at times. The rain cleared away towards mid evening.

A much better day than the early radar suggested. A few short heavy showers between 8 and 09:30 then just the odd spot of rain in the wind. Although better than expected its not the best days and cold so far by day.
