Repair or Replace?

First post so please be gentle...

I have been reading the threads related to Ecowitt for a short while now, as i have an ageing Aercus WeatherSleuth (Ambient Weather WS-1400-IP) that is using up its batteries.

Or more specifically it has gone through its current batteries in around 2 weeks, and the previous set only last 2 months. The ones prior to that last over a year, so i assume either the solar panel isn't supplying enough voltage or the super cap has failed.

So, the assistance i was hoping for was to help me assess whether its worth trying to fix my current model or replace it with something newer.
