BTW what's a dew point?

Sas

The dew point is basically the temperature at which the air will become saturated if the temperature dropped to dew point at constant pressure. It is a measure of the amount of water in the atmosphere and a better indicator of air masses.

The closer dew point and air temperature are the higher the relative humidity, and if they are precisely the same then you are usually either in fog or pptn.

Is this bit of the board for detailed technical description of conditions or can I put...It's nippy today in Cambridgshire, when I drove to work it was 5C according to the car and it's 12.5C outside at the moment with the wind making it feel colder.

It feels a lot warmer in the sunshine. Blue skies all day basically with just some fair weather cloud from time to time. It was very chilly this morning, 6ºc in Bournemouth but of course with the wind it felt below freezing :)

Bournemouth got fown to 2ºc last night :!: It was more or less blue skies when I went out at 6:45 this morning, but the cloud has been building from the NW all morning, and now it is 100% cloudy. But it doesn't look as though we will see some rain until midday at the earliest :)
