Out in rural East Lothian, some hoar frost, then heavy rain after about nine this morning. Some evidence of freezing rain, a little sleet. Now clearing. 1C according to the vehicle.

Also, looks like there’s snow on the Lammermuirs, implying the line is over about 200m.

Also also: Now some heavy snow on the A1 by Haddington. Maybe from evaporative cooling at the back edge of this lump of weather?

The Reading snow shield remains intact after nearly 2 years (although it might finally be breached sometime this week). Overcast and very cold with a spell of light rain in the afternoon. Maximum 2.5, minimum 0.2. Wind light N.
