Baltic Regions That's the thing. People don't believe it's a real thing, like aliens or flat earth or even good Manchester United footballers!!! But there she is, in all her glory!

Big uptick in temps here now this morning. Reading plus 4 on the weather station and all the white frosty roofs are now back to their dirty brown colour! They were beautiful crisp days, which I did enjoy.

Not  the worst cold spell but not the best either.

I'll give it 5/10.

Some decent frosts with three ice days but the lack of snow was a disappointment.

Here's hoping its not too long until the next cold spell.

mountain shadow  yeah I am happy enough with it as we probably got a decent amount of snow in fairness, which is still here today in all her glory. My feeling is there should be about 3 spells like this every winter but I have a feeling this might be our lot!

Was a great wee cold snap. Took a drive up to the Sperrins between Feeney and Moneyneeny yesterday evening. Epic conditions and around 6 maye 8 inches of snow. Wanted to get on up to the forestry area but the Skoda would only go so far 🤣

Like an ice skating rink this morning with the rain on top of the ice and snow.

Portadown Bhoy Rest of January a write off. I think we might see some big storms towards the end of January

ronan me too when I had the time before the kids came I spent a lot of time cycling round the Sperrins, the north coast and Donegal. I spent my winters in banagher glen, loughermore forests and all the forests round limavady.

mountain shadow Yep, that nor'easter hitting East CONUS will trigger some rapid cyclogenesis and cause a very strong jet stream heading our way I'd wager!

That stormy end to January I promised looks like occurring.

Potential for a dangerous bombing low as it crosses Ireland through this coming weekend.

I would not be planning anything outdoor from Friday.

mountain shadow Aye certainly looking that way, shame as the recent weather has been very usable to get stuff done outside, but then it is winter!

Yellow wind warning out already. 4 days before impact.

Highly unusual.

Weegaz All next week looks very windy. Not ruling out snow either if the dice fall correctly.

Bonkers, it’s probably going to be a tad further south than that run suggests. Met E with a pre warning already for the whole island…. As MS said, very unusual!
