A good deal of cloud with a little light rain and sleet for the first half of the night. Mostly cloud through the early hours, a few cloud breaks appearing towards dawn with allowing for a widespread ground frost to develop. Bright with sunny spells this morning, icy patches underfoot.

Sleet showers during the first half of yesterday evening but it was mainly dry from 2200 until the early hours when a few light snow showers moved in from the north east giving a thin snow cover. Dry with sunny intervals since sunrise.
