its actually 2 cm, not raining or snowing now and thawing slowly with T=0.7 C

A dry and clear start to yesterday evening but high and medium level cloud thickened  steadily to bring moderate-heavy snow from 0030. The snow gave way to ice pellets, then freezing rain by about 0400 and freezing drizzle by dawn. Thick fog and light freezing drizzle this morning with all surfaces and vegetation covered in several mm of clear ice.

Moderate rain/ possible sleet through the early hours. The rain turned light towards dawn and then to light drizzle by observation. Misty.

Just been for a walk - misty and damp, with no wind and with increasing sunny intervals here near Dorking, Surrey.  11.3C and feeling very warm in the sunshine.  Short sleeves!

Snow overnight and well into the morning ,drier and cold in the afternoon.rain arriving at tea.snowcover 100mm by mid morning,now melting fast in the rain 60mm.

Freezing drizzle and thick fog during the morning. The fog persisted throughout the afternoon but the drizzle died out before midday and a slow thaw set in. The trees etc above 300 mts didn't lose their coating of ice until late afternoon. Heavy rain moved in from the west by about 1630 and a steady thaw set in.

Overnight rain cleared quickly. Dry and cloudy this morning, sunny intervals in the afternoon and showers this evening. Breezy and very mild, a big temperature rise from yesterday. Maximum 13.8, minimum 3.5. Wind moderate SW.
