Might be cold for quite some time if this morning’s GFS is anything to go by. Mind you, next Sunday looks a bit warm.

Around an inch snow cover here, with very light snow showers blowing in a near gale force Easterly. Just got back with the dogs from Long Dale and thawing out in a hot bath.. -7 wind chill and temp sat on 0c so far today. Will be keeping an eye on the radar for snow showers this evening.

So 3-10 cm quite widely across the region if that’s correct, maybe a bit more in a few lucky spots & of course higher ground.

I'd take that! Is Euro4 accurate or does it typically overdo it ?

Not really, but it echoes what the BBC graphics are showing atm

I’ve found it’s not done very well with frontal snow this winter but it seems to be one of the better ones at picking up on the general shower risk. None handle it very well.

I’ve taken a closer look at the high resolution models and they all do actually give quite a bit of snow to Stoke. I remain skeptical but we’ll see!

We just had a short shower of graupel which was interesting to watch as it bounced off the roofs.

Showers look packed Humberside northwards, very scattered south of that area.

Probably too close to the front to get anything substantial going from the Wash. Need that front to move into Europe.

Aye, always knew today would be mainly dry, until the low (storm Darcy) moves away tonight
