Fax charts are delicious for the north midland for the next 3 days!!!think nottingham could cop it hard!!!

Hope so mate! Just took my son out for our daily socially distanced walk and it's ruddy cold out with a few flakes blowing in the wind. Looking forward to lamp post watching this evening.

One good thing about having to work from home now is that you can stare out of the window and check the radars more without getting funny looks

Went out for my daily exercise walk just now. Much colder feel than yesterday, though not what I'd call bitter atm. A few flakes blowing in the wind, and a bit of snow lying up on the Clent Hills (visible in the distance) from last night, but mostly just dry and cloudy.  Now steady at 1.8 °C.

Oh, and I was passed by an ice cream van!

The way the flakes are flying by, they’ll all settle on the eastern side of the Long Mynd eventually!

Getting the odd barely there dust 'flurry' that lasts about 2 mins here  but that's all.  *angrily shakes fist at Pennines*

Wonder if we in S-O-T could Petition to get the government to bulldoze the Pennines down to about 700 foot so we get some easterly snow!  Cloud's could make it over then.

The funny thing is, some parts of the Midlands could end up doing better than a lot of the South East which as usual has grabbed all the attention.

Met office app now updated again for a mix of heavy and lighter snow from tonight through to midnight Tuesday with max temps of 0c. If that we're to happen then I reckon 10-15cm by Wednesday is possible.

That seems to have been there for hours, but never seems to make it beyond Peterborough.

It’s amazing how that stuff to west of Stoke has made it over the Pennines no problem and actually intensified but everything that comes towards Stoke dies on its ass over the smaller Peak District.
