Oh yes forgot to say horrible day yesterday and overnight here, very wet. But so far today has been dry and the sun is desperately trying to make an appearance.. managed to get the back lawn cut despite it being very wet.. hoping thats the last time i have to do that until spring..

Well the weather might be a bit dull and boring but the landscape is at least starting to look much more autumnal. Trees are starting to turn, as is the bracken etc.

After another very soggy evening and night, today is a drying out process.

Mind you, we are rapidly approaching that time of the seasons when the surfaces remain permanently damp going by how slow things are drying up today.

Permagloom™ once again with a few chinks in the grey showing a lovely light blue beyond.

Light winds, rather chilly 7.9c; still no sub-zero temperature here this autumn.

The Permagloom shield was finally overcome for a few hours in the late afternoon, some nice Cirrus appearing as a result.  Cloud back again, so no Aurora spotting tonight

It’s been completely overcast again this morning, chilly, breezy and the drizzle has returned. A perfect day to test my new winter jacket. The leaves are turning here now also.

Temperature high was 13.7⁰C at 13:12 just before the rain started dropping the temp to 11.8⁰C now and up from a low of 11.4⁰C at 06:43, humidity is 88%, wind is 3 to 11mph westerly, pressure is 1024.4hPa steady, there’s been 0.2mm of rain today and cloud cover is a fairly thick 8/8.

Morning all! Blustery and mild here today but thankfully not as warm as last weekend so at least sleep is possible at night. Currently 13.6c, rain not far away, pressure 1009 and falling. Looks like tomorrow will be a proper sunny, autumnal day, and not before time! ⛅

You'll all remember the idea to try something a bit different with the Scottish thread as a test for the wider site back in the spring...? At the time it was postponed, but @Paulhas been working hard behind the scenes...

Well, there's a big announcement up shortly doing exactly that - it's guinea pig time!

Here we go then!

The Scottish community on Netweather is now officially a guinea pig, testing our new community groups feature. The Scottish discussion thread can now be found here - I've copied over the posts from today already:

Anyone can join the group and post (just click the join group button). There's a gallery and member map in there, and an explanation about the plan here:
https://www.netweather.tv/forum/topic/96245-welcome-to-the-new-scottish-group/?do=getNewComment

I'm going to pin this thread in the regional forum, so hopefully everyone can find the new area. For those outside of Scotland, please feel free to come along and take a look, even get involved and give your feedback, as if all goes to plan, we'll be moving the other local discussions over to the new system soon.

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
