Severe storms are possible today. @Nick F has issued a storm forecast:

Slightly more optimistic than Dan's for the Norwich area, but generally I'm not holding my breath, too much claggy N. Sea rubbish to get rid of.

Yep. The problem today is insolation both for convection and the convergence zone. Hopefully (!!) skies can clear. They didn't show any sign of clearing earlier here in North Kent, but, much to my surprise, they are showing good signs now, really brightening up - 10 minutes from leaden skies to sun trying to poke through.

At last it’s looking interesting up here from tomorrow onwards.

No rain for exactly 2 weeks tomorrow which is quite respectable.

Over at Corton, Suffolk,  its sunny, extremely humid and 23C. Might be too far east to be in the convergence zone but you never know.

Just getting ready to leave Dymchurch and despite the nice breeze, you can feel the ridiculous humidity. Can only imagine what it will be like back home

Blue sky that etched our being filled up quickly, need the normal cloud to dissappear to get the properly severe storms.

Checking in from the Extreme Eastern end of the Estuary and the suns trying to break through the clag, have a feeling gunna be the breeding ground for places further south and west today. All the bigger convection already over Kent and London area.

No humid feel here at all with a cool breeze off the Southern North Sea

I can confirm however the breeze wafting in from the SE across Kent is a warm and humid one

Have that annoying area of rain coming into the Estuary so maybe thats the cooling breeze from that down here. Skies to West are boiling and black skies to east are dead and flat hopefully it improves later.

Looking likely the main areas are going to be A12 to M11 down through London West Kent and Sussexes

Spot on ,but one I took a pic earlier just south Maidstone has changed totally the wind profiles low down .all lowest cloud is heading for it ,sucked in guess which Is stronger than on shore I reckon so quite an updraft ..first few rumbles from it too
