Thought to myself this morning it would be so nice if anywhere other than the South have a storm chance....i look at the forecast and to my shock and horror yes its the same as always, the South hogging all the good stuff. I just want a raindrop up here, none at all for nearly 7 weeks now, all the grass is brown.

I think you must have forgot the heavy rain you had 3 weeks ago, it was the night you sadly missed a lightning producing cell.   Hope this helps you feel a little more positive.  It's a screen shot, you may have to tap it to read it, I don't know if you can quote from an old thread.

No more storms for me today. Hopefully I’ll get some tomorrow.

Thunder heard here

That CZ has definitely edged closer - another rumble!!

And another…seems more frequent than lightning detection would suggest

Yeah I’m way too far west unless the CZ shifts dramatically.

I’ve lost my wi-fi signal due to the storm over me right now, currently on phone data whilst loud thunder is happening from time to time

Storms died off. By the looks of it, no more on the way. Storm just barely missed me

Apparently there's been a lot of flooding in London and a Amber warning has been issued

I'm up in Hither Green today, and the crescent   of storms seem to be edging slightly SE? Certainly louder thunder now and darker skys than an hour ago

Tantalisingly close on the radar.

Glad I'm not on the Sussex coast, the usual outflow dross being served up there from 'inland' storms.

Norfolk's yawnfest continues. Back to clag in Norwich with brighter grey bits. Dire.

Same here, threatened to brighten up earlier but the cloud base is now so low it’s pretty close to Needing lights on.

Saw my first flash of lightning way off to the NNW. Sky there is jet black and what looks like a VERY low cloud base.

Well, the line of storms stretches to within touching distance of Norwich and then stops. Couldn't make it up.

I see London and Kent getting loads of action, yet again.
