    A dry and mild night with increasing cloud and wind. Light rain arrived shortly after dawn and there was a spell of heavy, squally rain between 0655 and 0710 g.m.t followed by a longer spell of moderate-heavy rain and a sharp fall in temperature. A few brief sunny intervals around 0820 g.m.t but since then it's clouded over again with further light-moderate showers.
