Best places for UK daily historical data 2021 edition?

It used to be common and now it's all broken links or changed webpages dumbing down information so any sites for UK places where you can find a station and look for a date for some of these historical events?  Utah Climate Center is the only one I know of and it's very selective most not going past 1970 and even then a lot of missing data in some spots.

There is the MIDAS Open dataset which has a good chunk of stations from the UK from 1853 that has data in CSV files so it might not been ideal but it's a place where the data's likely to be accurate. You'd need to make an account and such but it's worth a shout!

There's also sites like infoclimat.fr that have different stations but the MIDAS set is vastly greater in its station selection & data accuracy overall.
