Snowing in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. Very light. 4th snowfall of the autumn/winter season.

Started off as snow here in NUL, but now it’s raining. Didn’t last more than 15 mins here sadly

Still snowing steadily here. Weird, because you’re higher up.

Just noticed it's snowing here now too. How long will it last before the milder air sweeps it aside I wonder?

Oh, it’s snow again! Maybe lowered the snow line now the heavier PPN has arrived. Seems transient though, probs won’t be long before it’s rain again. Current temp:1.4c dp: -0.8c

Coming down fairly heavy. Looks very wet but it’s covering where this morning’s snow has melted.

Heavy snow here in Alton, Staffs Moorlands. Usually stay up watching it fall but as we all know its turning back to rain later.. I think I will call it a night.

We had a very snowy weekend and then a covering this morning too which has stuck around all day! For the last 5 days there has been snow around!

Lets see what the weather has in store moving forward.

night midlanders!

Maybe another leading edge event on Monday morning..? Looks mostly over the higher ground though. Could be worth a watch.

Well I love every snowflake we get so I’m enjoying watching it. Need to make the most it, anyway, because who knows when it will snow again! (Maybe at the weekend ).

Very wet light to moderate snow falling here now. Doubt it’ll settle much as is making everything wet currently (100 meters elevation), but always fun just seeing it fall. 4th time has snowed now in last few days. So not a bad start really

Indeed! Agree with a few others, it doesn’t really feel worth staying up for at the moment as pretty as it is. Not quite the match for Sunday’s snow.

We've had light snow, the proper stuff, not the large wet flakes and it's settling everywhere.

The frustrating thing is that we'd have had a an absolute pasting had the precips been much heavier.

Took one last look out before bed. We have a good covering and it’s still coming down nicely.

All good stuff I suppose for the start of winter.

At least we know what’s going to happen, eliminates any disappointment.

Plenty of times in the past I’ve gone to bed with snow falling this well and have been gutted to wake up to it being gloomy and wet. But it’s all expected this time so won’t feel let down.

Ah well…a cracking start to winter nevertheless by our standards.
