models/forecasts are very poor with north sea mist, I know my location so definitely expecting this

The problem is a number of days ago the models in their forecast had the centre of the HP further East from Weds onwards, in which we was meant to have a more of a clear continental flow ( sunny and better temps ) but because the HP is West of the UK, we are getting a flow off the North-sea, hence cloud and far lower daytime temperatures that wasn’t expected in the forecast 🙄👎

Well today kind of summed up this spring.

it never really got going. Been some decent May days (one certainly wasn't one of them) but all in all a poor season.

turn the calendar and bring in the blue skies (I hope)

Very frustrating day. After clearing mid morning, the total cloud cover has now returned.  It doesn't usually come back unti dawn and of course it's really quite cold again.

Cloud burnt off from around 2pm onwards but it has now fully arrived back. Helped to raise the temperature from 14C to 17c in 2 hours when it cleared, which is an improvement from the last few days.

Looks like tomorrow onwards much better and hopefully we'll be reaching 20°C or more each day frequently.

I’m with ya on that one, it’s forecasted that much dryer air as such is on its way, and in doing so the cloudy conditions we’ve seen over the last couple of days will be a past memory….temps won’t be note worthy, but 19c to 20c is much better than 12c for sure 👌 A weekend of ☀️☀️☀️☀️is expected 😎

Just stunning today, even that chilly wind as almost gone and about time too

Loving it…20.2c and sunny skies all the way 🤗

Didn't take long, did it, back to the cold and cloudy, look set to stay in place all day, temp 10C, be lucky to break the 60f barrier today.

13.3c and thick cloud cover giving some patchy drizzle. Not the best start to the day. The cloud didn’t lift at all yesterday either.

Aye, often warmer in Dec to Feb, off the warm tropical air

Yeah, a really disappointing Tuesday here as well. Barely into the teens and (barring a couple of extremely brief hazy breaks) zero sunshine.

Only fair to acknowledge that today was much, much better with lots of sunshine from mid-morning onwards and blue skies as I type. Still not that hot in pure temperature terms - max 19.7 °C - but with June sun strength it still feels very warm.

Looks like Tuesday was the only day with low cloud all day, and since then it has been improving with yesterday completely sunny since mid morning. Only issue left is that it cools down too quickly after sunset in that easterly wind, feeling closer to April. However that changes by Saturday and forecast calls it to still be around 23c for 9pm, which will feel very different. Not long until the heat arrives now and next week it stays warm!

Here we go again!

(Thunder storm wise for the the Mids, been a while)

The cloudscapes will be amazing if any clag clears or no clag cloud to start with?

Popcorn storms passing by fast? Some wind shear is there.

Its looking to be a day for the weather turn around - the easterly winds and high pressure have had its day.

Many, many covective outlooks are nearly upon us, lets see what happens.

To me, the fun is in the waiting game until the first rumble of thunder.

UKV current is impressive, hefty cells bar 2pm.

Anyway, thats enough from me,

NLC ish? no clouds here @Arnie Pie (i will go to corrrect thread)
