You can now ignore particular topics

If you would like to ignore a particular topic (or topics) on the community, you now can. It's a simple process - simply click the 'ignore this topic' button at the top of any topic, and it will then be hidden from you. (It may take a couple of minutes for it to hide from the latest post feeds etc on the forum homepage). 

 

If you'd like to stop ignoring topics, there's now an ignored topics area under you account settings, and from there you can see the topics you're ignoring and click into them. From there, you'll see a 'stop ignoring topic' button at the top.

This will hopefully be a particularly useful tool for those who'd rather not see some of the non-weather topics which may be active.

could you do the same with categories please? I have no interest with the "weather stations & equipment" and idk why the "Scotland / Alba Community Group Scottish Weather Discussion" in my community groups when i'm not in the group nor from scotland

It's not possible to hide categories at the moment I'm afraid. The groups have been displaying to everyone as default as they're new. But I'll get them set to only show if you're a member of them soon.

Maybe the fluid view option will suit you, as you can just display the threads from the community sections you choose with that. You can select it from the top of the forum homepage:

Sorry, switched it off to test something yesterday and didn't put it back on. Should be working again now.
