Crystal clear at daybreak, the sky had that vibrant electric blue colour peppered with the fading light of the stars.  Some good bursts of sunshine considering the amount of cloud about.  Not quite into double figures yet, 9° and pleasantly mild, good day for wafting your washing outside on the line.

It truly feels like Spring has now arrived with milder temperatures setting-in and high pressure establishing itself, but with the reminder from a chilly wind away from any shelter that winter wasn't too long ago. At least with the drier days the mud-fest footpaths are back to being walkable again.

Interesting to see how far (if at all) the NW is affected by rain tomorrow. Sunday's look at the week ahead had it down as a possible soaker but it now seems that the main rain band will be further south and east, with only the south and east of this region getting any rain at all. Dry today and variable amounts of cloud and sunshine, bright rather than sunny.

The equivalent of walking into an industrial freezer. Theyve been going at clearing the runway for hours and the snow keeps coming down.

Meanwhile, a nice sunny pleasant day here in Hadfield.

Nuuk seems an interesting place to live...fantastic snowy winters, small city so not overcrowded but they do have essential amenities and a shopping centre called the Nuuk Center. The summers are poor though probably the coldest capital city in the world. Layers needed year round.

Tomorrow is a messy day to forecast. Some places will stay dry others could see quite a bit of nuisance rain. Today very benign and Clement. Crept into double figures and with light winds and bright skies it felt very pleasant.

After tomorrow high pressure rules the roost and with lots of sunshine it will feel definitely like spring is here.

In the extended outlook Friday-Monday a glorious weekend coming up yes it will be cool or even cold overnight but the compensation is crystal clear skies with plenty of sun temperatures up to around 14c which will feel pleasant whilst the garden get a good tidy up

I noticed the plume of sand from the Sahara thats heading up from Spain and over France.

That cookery course that @WillinGlossop is doing in France might teach him how to make a Sandwich.

Aye, your area and all west of Pennines look like unbroken sun, but here as winds turn easterly, north sea filth will become an issue

Looking at videos in Spain on YouTube don’t think it’ll be that bad in Lyon… remember the red Saharan dust we had in the 1980s in Balearics… start of childhood asthma…  lyonnaise gastronomic food… not big on offal but they do like it… especially chitterlings

meant to be 21-23c tomorrow in Lyon…

A dry start to the day but rain set in around half 9. Mostly light ut making for a rather uninspiring outlook. It should peter out after lunchtime. Thereafter a good spell of dry sunny and mild weather on the way.

The weather on the tv saying take care in the sun this weekend for sun burn hmmm not so sure I've ever resembled a lobster in March. Maybe slightly more risk down south with the sun being a bit stronger there. Mid April onwards until early September prime time for sun burn for most folk in our region. I guess for red heads you may burn earlier and later in the year?

Dull and damp here all day although late clearing gave a colourful sunset and an ethereal light

Very similar to this time yesterday. Beganfine but rain arrived about 9.30. Light in nature. Set to brighten later in the day. Chilly 7.6 degrees.
