Actually the same, see the data above (1991-2020 daily normals, 1st of April is same as 1981-2010 8.3C). The normals start to get warmer later in the month. If we stay around 5 C to end of Sunday 3rd, then the 9.0 forecasts need an average of 9.8 to reach their target.

Bit of a warm up tomorrow and Tuesday, colder remainder of the week, not as cold a start to April as last year but coldest first 10 days to a month for quite a number of months..  possibly since last May.
