I liked last summer, first time in years I didn't feel like I was constantly being fried by the sun.

And I got my best suntan ever!

What a perfect Spring day it is, not to warm but by no means cool, lovely breeze, folk out and not wrapped up, if only all of Summer could be like this! Any hotter and it would start to become uncomfortable for doing things in, this is perfect.

A lot of excitement about the cold rain next week

Try warm Snowfall ......the forecast is looking colder with all the models showing on every run, in which that cold rain will more likely become snowfall the way things are going

At 121 m asl maybe, at 10 m, unlikely, time will tell ?️

Can I just say, the cold can just  go away next week! Just when the warmth starts to show its face, the horrible cold has to creep in.

I'm not especially bothered about temperatures as long as it can stay mostly dry please.

I always chuckle when we get sensitive over swear words. I think we can be sure there’ll still be more snowflakes on here than the upcoming colder period lol.

Well, you beat them all to it with your complaints about some warm sunshine during the past week.

The next few weeks is going to be utterly dire. Spring killer for sure.

just thankful for this week of beautiful weather - last year we didn’t even have that during almost the entire March-May period (I think we had one warm day right at the end of March).

A recurrent trend these last few years I’m not happy to see. Why can’t the seasons arrive and depart on time:(

Just replace the snowflake swear words with actual swear words and you'll get where I'm coming from.

The weather’s looking absolutely abhorrent next week with even heavy snow on Thursday. Not only that the cold has expanded well into April. I don’t have a problem with a short cold spell (it’s spring not summer after all) but it’s when there’s no sign of it ending that’s the depressing part.

So we have people complaining 18c in March is too warm and now we have people bigging up snow next week when no really cold weather is expected.  I'm totally confused.

To me, the weather has been pleasant, but nowhere warm enough to walk around in a t shirt, or wear shorts.

Theres still a chilly breeze in the air. While nice, I still need a light jacket and sweater to hand. Once you get to 4pm, the temp tends to dip.

Me and a friend were enjoying a drink in a pub garden yesterday, but after a couple of hours, we were glad we wore our coats. It turned quite cold.

We are not quite there yet for proper warmth.

I'll take this tbh. The alternative right now if the cold spell fails is average wet rubbish. The only thing worse than cold at this stage of the year is 9C and rain. If we are not going to have warm weather we might as well have a foot of snow.

I’m fully expecting 9C and rain, maybe 6-7C if particularly unlucky.

I am personally not too bothered about this cooler and fairly unsettled spell, as it is nothing out of the ordinary for the first half of spring. Just as long as it doesn't go on for too long.

It's normal for the weather conditions and temps at this time of the year to fluctuate, as spring is a transitional season just like with autumn.

If Thursday comes off potential wise for snow then it will literally be unbelievable timing for us.

A November-March period with 3 brief blobby wet snow showers, then 31st March when between us as a family there are 4 massive reasons we do not need a disruptive weather day and this crops up!!

I love snow, but right now a day of cold rain would be most welcome in comparison!

Think you’ll be ok. Can’t see a widespread snow event currently for the south, even though it’ll be chilly, temperatures look too high certainly for settling snow, if not falling snow. But then, I’m not a weather forecaster and there have been surprises before.
