Dark clouds looking North East, looks like its all moving away from us, hopefully this year could have some good displays compared to last year which I remember was fairly quiet

Hearing some distant thunder every now and then. I don't think I've caught any bolts yet but it's a great start to the season anyway!

Bone dry and boring cloudiness most of the day. A little bit of sunshine early and feeling warmer, but still disappointing for sunshine and lack of storms.

Looks like they may be on their way or at least the tail end...

I wondered if I'd hear any thunder today, but it appears to have been just a little too far east of here.

I remember last year being active for thunderstorms in May and July.  I counted 7 days with thunder in July 2021 including two consecutive days with good displays on 3 and 4 July.  Not a lot happened from August onwards though.

A couple of nice cells looking South of Hunstanton this time, heading straight for me by the look of it! Think Deep layer shear is increasing from The NW now, so these may stick it out for longer.

Fantastic evening full of storms with some terrific structure and the last one is still going on.

Quite incredible with the timing being around sunset but it seemed to bring darkness early still.

Rather incredible outflow feature from the passing band of heavy rain that moved east. Shame there wasn't any sparks with it but was pretty damn impressed!

That is impressive!

Aye, do tend to get shelfs from situations like the one earlier with heavy precip crossing from Sheerness but never seen it to quite that distinctive nature before!
