Not surprising to see a sizeable drop, considering how cool/cold it was yesterday for many areas!

Yep, I think the chances of a below average month have probably been blasted out of the water, especially if this evenings runs end up near the mark!

Looks like a temporary affair for now, around 2-3 days of heat and back to below average temperatures. Would be a peculiar month if that pulled off

Indeed and similar to July 2020 which was cooler than average but still managed 37.8C at Heathrow, the third hottest day ever recorded in the UK!  Peculiar summer months months seem to be getting more and more common now!

Steady rise next week until Thursday where it will rocket possible records tumbling Saturday then tempertaures thankfully return to just above normal values for Sunday.

The hot spell down to one day however GFS under does the temperatures so probably hot from Wednesday in the south so a three day hit spell.

Reckon we will see CET shoot up over the next week. Perhaps well into 15s

Hard to say where this month will end up. The hot spell we still don’t know how intense or long lasting it will be but it will definitely provide a boost, but then I’ve seen quite a lot of charts showing cool weather resume so I don’t think it’s a done deal for an overly warm month. If I were to say a guess it would be anywhere in the 14 or 15s, all depending on where we go in the final two weeks.
