I think it was the 24th of June or around then, but definitely on a Friday evening.

28 years ago this week, after a week of hot sunny weather. Temps in London were the hottest of the year up to that point, with highs or around 28-29c.

It was hot clear and sunny, but I remember the Friday becoming more hot and humid.

The USA World Cup was on at the time.

Funny how days and dates repeat themselves. Friday 24th June 2005 was also a classic!

Theres a video of this 1994 storm on YouTube somewhere.
