The change to new servers is going to go ahead first thing on the morning of Wednesday 13th July. That's going to result in a period of downtime while everything is transferred over, but it hopefully shouldn't be more than a few hours.

In the meantime, there are a couple of action points it's worth taking a note of:

Beyond that, it should all be pretty straight forward on the day hopefully, and aside from the new URL, you will notice very little difference.

I didn’t know there was a mobile app for netweather, but I’ve just had a look on the App Store (I’m on an iPhone/iPad) and I can’t find anything.

It's a pwa so isn't in the app store. You can install it from safari by choosing to 'add to homescreen' when on the page. But you're probably better off waiting until after the move to do it.

I have an app, only downloaded it about a week or so ago…it’s in the App Store (Apple) as Netweather Radar.

@Paulis this the real Netweather’s app? It doesn’t have the ‘community’ features, just the radar features. As you say, best to wait til relaunch to download/refresh app.

There is an Invision app in development (I’m running the beta) for communities that use their platform, it’s fairly good.

That's been done away with - it's been in beta for years and isn't going to be developed any further. They're all in on the PWA app which is downloadable from the page rather than the app stores now.

Interesting, I have to admit to being a bit removed from things lately - I better do that 4.7 upgrade (or whichever one it is!)

Just adding a few timing details to this. We'll be shutting the forum at around 0630 tomorrow morning ready for the move. Hopefully all will be completed within a couple or few hours, perhaps even less than that. Assuming all goes well, we'll re-open straight away and redirect to the new url.

We're now live on our new setup - the move has gone smoothly and on schedule, which is never a bad thing 😄

If you spot any problems at all, please shout.

We have an issue with the option to login using twitter at the moment, in that it's not working at all. I'll update once we've (hopefully) got to the bottom of it. Meantime, you can retrieve a password to login normally by using the forgotten details option.

For the time being the twitter login option has been disabled though.

I sent you an email earlier regarding this, please ignore it as I've followed the above, which worked.

The menu bar that goes across the bottom of the browser while on the forum, has disappeared for me.
