The record to beat in Buxton is 31.9'c which was set almost 3 years ago in July 2019, we're currently at 29.2'c with the thermometer still rising a steady 1.4'c p/h.

I would be amazed if that's not broken in the next hour or two.

Hi All

Had my Vantage Vue 6 years now and current max recorded here was 34.3 Aug 12th 2020.

Should beat that record today easily...if the sky remains clear! Had a brief spell of cloud an hour ago causing temp rise to stall.

Makes you wonder just how high it could get tomorrow after the exceptionally warm night to come.

The wind has switched back to the west and we're on 30.4C now. That's the first time we've ever had two consecutive 30C+ days here.

Humidity is 28% so very dry air again! Robin Hood airport and Humberside airport on 15% and 19% at 12:00.

My cousin is in Cuckfield where he tells me it is currently 32.7C.

Much nicer here at 23C with blue skies. A bit cooler than expected in the amber area and actually 5C cooler than a week ago. It is however rising steadily as warmer air moves North.

Only need a 4c rise from there to beat the record which surely will happen now.

ah ok thanks, I thought everyone had their own weather station and was recording from that 😁

Some of us are amateurs and using just bog standard thermometers. When you look at the map there are few and far between official recording stations especially in our area. The closest ones are Bridlington, which is coastal and can be very different from the inland wolds, and Beverley (I assume Leconfield) which is lowlands compared to here. So nothing comparable for here so we have to rely on our own recordings 🤷🏼‍♀️

35.4c here 5 mins ago, but cloud cover came over and temp has dropped yo 34.8c.

Temperature probably 1c too high at this station but can only compare like with like.

Record is 35.5...so yeah. One more blast of sunshine might do it.

Very slowly climbing, 28.4°C here now, but it is still cloudy. The cloud is thinning a little though.
