What's the peak in Scotland? It looks like today will be hotter than tomorrow in the west...

37.1C at Heathrow at 2:30pm. We just might do it.

Very close to that 100F. With higher 850s continuing to progress northwards, I'd expect at least 2 or even 3 hours of heating left to go.

36.1C by far the highest I’ve recorded since 2017 in north Leeds dew point is showing -1.7C. Feels like the Med!

Lots of 35/36c and odd 37c popping up on wunderground website in Yorkshire could be the place to break the record today…

Yorkshire is looking like the sweet (or sweat) point tomorrow

...what? 😂 Offended by maps, this country really has lost it.

It was all over Twitter in the past few days.  The AGW "sceptics" are convinced it's a conspiracy.

East Anglia looks to me to be the region to watch, clearest skies for longest and a big overland fetch to the wind.

Hawarden a possible exception due to the foehn effect, could yet see todays highest temp.

Our local area stalled for a while around 34.6C but is now at 35.5.

34.1C here, so there goes our August 1990 record of 34.0C that has stood 32 years!

We've obliterated the existing July record by 2.4C today!

It's due to colour blindness, old maps don't work so well according to the met office.

I see a new Welsh record.

Also 36.5c puts us into the top 10 hottest days ever.

You learn something every day but most people wouldn t know that...

By the coast at aberyswyth just beating 1990..

Who of thought that by the sea..
