Very loud crashes here on the Broads (the strikes are about 10m down from us), and it's almost dusk lighting out there, can't believe it's only 2.30pm!

Lots of torrential showers and strong wind gusts associated here. Feels like the eye of a Hurricane now 🤣.Could contain: Weather, Nature, Outdoors, Cumulus, Sky, Cloud, Storm

Just had a really decent thunderstorm!!!  Very very happy indeed!  Lots of CG’s, loud shotgun thunder, the rain stayed off until after the lightning had passed so i had the perfect viewing point from my home north of the city!    Got photos and vids of cg lightning too!   Today is a good day and i am very happy and I appreciate it so much so thank you!!!!

Lovely dark clouds around, shame everything is going round me, no matter where it appears to be headed.

Just a moment ago seen some flashes and heard some loud claps o thunder! However these storms have already cleared away... Heading eastwards. The sky was almost pitch black wow! A very small storm but to see a flash of lightning in November? Wow!

Also, has anyone checked their Met Office forecasts for tomorrow? I don't trust it... It says over 3hrs of thunderstorms tomorrow evening! That would be amazing, but seems a bit unrealistic to me... Thoughts?

some brill photos and videos on here, not expecting much in the Midlands although would be a nice surprise. Had to come here as soon as I saw severe t.storms and possible tornado risk being forecast

I feel i may see a storm tomorrow or at least hear the sound of thunder

I obviously had the insight and vision yesterday and today thankfully as my instincts were correct!  Still buzzing from the lightning.

Quite intense precip around Stevenage recently, can see anvil streaming away north.

That squall tracked through here about 13.40 , quite noisy hail barrage on the front edge largest about 20mm.

These had melted slightly when I took these pics

Incredible to think how thundery October has been and now also 1st day of November. After all the heat of summer with hardly a murmur here in wgc from storms ...now its making up for it. That hail pretty impressive considering its November...considerable convective forces still at play. The highlight storm for me though was that system that moved through late afternoon of the Sunday 23rd October....i may have mentioned this before 🤣..but that was the best storm i have had here for many years for its intensity, duration and quantity of Lightning. Trouble is as i mentioned earlier it is now the storm bench mark for me which...of course...is unrealistic...

Still out an about just in case any of these storms take off

This is what is is heading towards  Portsmouth, I haven't seen anything electrical from this area, but I did see a solitary flash to the southwest of the Isle of wight, about 10 minutes ago. Nothing since

I have a feeling that we have seen the peak of today's action, especially west of the IOW

Vivid lightning now approaching Brighton! Some good CG forks and plenty of sheet lighting.

Booming just about audible above the Gale force gusts.
