The models have been showing a few imports reaching the south coast very late on Tuesday night. Something to keep an eye on there, although I can't shift this horrible feeling that we're not gonna squeeze a drop of rain from any of this over the next few days! 😞

It’s just North Sea crud. It’s burnt off now though.

Well done to the helmet who had a bonfire early hours with this heat. Dunno if that's good or bad with 3 consecutive days of thunder storm warnings. Will it or wont it. Where are you experts? What are your thoughts? Or is it a touch early to put it out there?

That storm near Montpelier is something else

Trying to work out its direction, thought it was Nimes but it seems to be hugging the coast.

It does. The airspace round there has been cleared. There’s an easyJet flight into Marseille flying halfway into the med to go round the south of the storm. Rather them than me.

Well storm warnings are in place.....and yes its another copy and paste from the last storm event. Northern Ireland, Scotland and perhaps South East yet again

Hoping for an absolute miracle over these next few days that we get a drop of rain...we won't get any thunder as we havnt had any in over 2 years now but just a drop of rain and I'll be happy. We will see.

My brother in law owns a hotel on Mull, he'll be entertaining the guests with his extensive collection of local whiskies....

We desperately need rain where I am (Lockerbie area). There is a kind of brownish hue to the landscape now. Perhaps not as bad as where you are but nevertheless bad enough! Plus we rarely ever get a storm here. Think the Solway is to blame somehow, so it will make a nice and exciting change. I'm 🙏

Northern Ireland seem to get more storms than mainland Northern England thesedays ,  and the temps are cooler there generally in summer,  May consider moving 😆

Well yea Scotland has been dryer than usual but is still getting more rain than most of the UK is. The Midlands down to South East UK is incredibly parched and experiencing a drought so it is frustrating when these areas miss out on thunderstorms to the areas that have had quite a few already this summer. Obviously the precipitation with storms will just run off the hard ground but its the relief from it I want lol

My weather app is showing 50% risk of dry/elevated storms for the SE tomorrow. If any storms are elevated and produce little rain, this could potentially present an unusual fire risk for the UK I should think.

But whatever the outcome, I think we’ll all be glad if we just see some rain. 🌧

I'd be more glad than I've ever been! As ever, I am hoping so much for thunderstorms, but I would be genuinely happy with just some bands of showery rain getting stuck over us for at least a few hours, even if most of it would just run off the ground. Any storms to photograph on top of that would just be the cherry on the top of that cake.

Good to see some actual moisture in the atmosphere over there in Wales. It's been a while
