Songs that remind you of late summer and autumn looming?

Started watching Cobra Kai a couple of years back, which kind of made me go back and watch the original films.

The second film isn’t great, but I have a soft spot for the song.

Although this is The Human League, it doesn’t sound anything like their earlier stuff.

This was the period where they adopted the Jam and Lewis sound, which was quite popular between 1986-88. Janet Jackson, Alexandra O Neal were the other artists amongst many who worked with Jam and Lewis.

Apparently, Phil Oakey didn’t get along with Jam and Lewis while recording this album.

Released in September 1980.

The summer that year was apparently fairly mediocre, with June and July being quite cool and August being the best of the 3 summer months. September was warmish at times, but nothing noteworthy.

Probably their best song and for me this was the end of their best era. They never made a better song after 80.
