Not an ideal location for this thread, but can't find a better one.

Many years ago, when I used to plot surface charts at CFO, a northerly wind direction was always coded as 36 for 360 degrees, so a westerly was 27 etc.  A wind direction of 00 was only used when the conditions were calm. Looking through the OGIMET reports I now see wind direction of 00 together with a wind strength e.g. 0007.  Does 00 for wind direction now mean northerly?  Or maybe the years have taken their toll on my memory!
