Oh dear this thread isn't seeing much action so far this Autumn. Had hoped we may have seen our first air frost of the season, usually have by now. Alas its looking a late one this year.. probably not until second week of Nov at the earliest looking at the longer range models. I've alot of geraniums and treasure flowers still in full bloom, shoukd have died by now..

It's hard enough to drop below 15c here at the moment, let alone a frost. Sad times..

The minimum here so far this Autumn is 4.0C and that was in September. We've barely been able to get into single figures the last couple of weeks.

There was a slight grass frost at the beginning to middle of October (can't remember the date) but nothing since.  No air frosts though, and looking at the models.. nothing to come until at least mid-november?

Couple of pictures from 5am this morning, temperature should drop further as daylight approaches. Car was displaying - minus 3°c on the commute to Aberdeen.

No idea what the temperature is as I haven't been to the car yet but there's frost on the grass and rooftops....

Keswick went down to -0.3 this morning, we are usually around same temp, sometimes lower or bit higher.. so we may have had our first official air frost. Certainly was frosty first thing which Im happy about. How much better is a sunny bright day this time of year.

We had evidence of a ground frost this morning.  The overnight low was around 3-4c.  The neighbours front lawn certainly looked as if there were patches of frost on it.   I thought at 11pm last night it seemed to be dropping cold, so much so I contemplated putting my cloches on my Gazania’s and catmint.

Ha, a ground frost what's that! Struggle to even get them here these days.

Braemar got down to -4C for yesterday's lowest across the country.

Overnight, it looks like Aboyne was the coldest at a similar temperature, maybe a tad higher.

Ties in well with what an amateur weather station in Alford was reporting (-3.2C according to highlandweather.info)

It seems the other threads are abit slow aswell at the moment, there's always a bit of buzz and anticipation around this time of year but this mild dross has really put the dampener on things.. not even had a sniff of a frost yet.
