Been in garden for a few hours today tidying up and turning soil over.

The sun made a 15 minute appearance although somewhat watery. It was pleasant given there was no wind.

Yeah -1 in the marginals last night, which was a little surprising-roads starting to look a bit knackered round about. (well more knackered than usual). Think that might be it for a few days on the frost front, next few days looks a bit meh, but breezy.

A very decent mid winter's day, dry, bright, some glimpses of sunshine, light winds. Not sure max temp think about 7.5 degrees. Clearing skies tonight should produce another frost early hours. Can't complain too much at present.

There’s a real feel of spring in the air now. This high pressure system is really pressing the ‘go away winter’ buttons.

I don’t really want the SSW to happen, it’ll just result in a cold spring, and that’s the time when I start to look for warmth. Ideally warm days and cool nights, love it.

A mostly cloudy day here again with occasional glimpses of blue sky overhead raising the temp to 4.4'c, it's easy to complain about it being 'mild & boring' but compared to recent floods in Australia and now Auckland in New Zealand recieving 15cm of rain in the timespan of a few hours, i'd rather take the mild & boring.

A fairly uninspiring day in the marginals, overcast, no frost last night and just touched 5 C. But....... did anyone clock that sunset? Thin strip of most vivid red just beneath the cloud layer.

It's all very quiet weatherwise at present. Another fine day overall, alot of cloud, but quite bright, light winds, and average temps, maxed around 6 degrees. Overnight a band of light rain will move through and should clear here early in the morning to leave a carbon copy repeat of today, slightly milder perhaps. Can't complain for mid winter.

Not too bad a day, bit of drizzle early on, but the sun burst through around lunchtime although clouded up again after lunch, but remained dry. A nice cool feel out, max temp of 5.8C. Yet another frost possible overnight.

Just reflecting, once again another January about to pass with no significant snow here, we had a dusting last week. Will February deliver I wonder, the number of winters passing by with barely more than a cm or two cover is becoming the norm now, we have been very badly placed so far to receive the snowy goods.

No guesses where your allegiance is with those shirts.

Can you get that snow in a thermos flask. It might survive otherwise we'll be getting the liquid version and we've had far to much of that already.

An overcast start here and as result, no frost this morning, an overnight low of 3.7C. A dull and overcast day coming up by the looks of it, but at least it's looking mostly dry here, apart from perhaps an odd minor pocket of drizzle, so could be worse.
