A clear start to last night with an air frost. Cloud slowly increased after midnight, and lowered to give thick hill fog from 0430, and there was  intermittent rain from 0630. The first lot of rain has cleared but it's still overcast with thick fog.

Today's weather was a dry cloudy start then outbreaks of rain throughout the day till the evening very heavy this afternoon lots of surface water on the roads. Wind gusts upto 35mph.

A belated Happy New Year (we've been away). Hard frost overnight, clouded over to give a dull, mild and breezy day with persistent light to moderate rain. Maximum 12.6, minimum 1.3. Wind moderate SW.
