    Clear spells last evening allowed for a ground frost, more cloud towards midnight helped lift the temperature. A spell of light to moderate light rain early hours. Overcast through the morning. A few brighter spells from mid afternoon, still with a good deal of cloud, very mild.

    A few spots of rain early on then dry fairly cloudy a few sunny spells. Windy for  a short while mid morning with gusts to 63mph

    A mild and windy day. Dry apart from a few spots of drizzle from time to time. The wind decreased significantly during the second half of the afternoon.

    • Wet March so far with more rain for the rest of the month, but hints of more settled weather early April

      It's been a wet March for much of the UK, with well above average rainfall, though the Northern & Western Isles have been drier than average. Despite a colder drier respite on Monday, staying generally unsettled to see out the rest of the month. But hints of some drier weather in early April. Read the full update here
