Light snow on and off through the night no increase of depth

Overcast but no ppn at the moment with T=0.3 C and Td on zero, a very slight and very patchy snow cover, cars, grass, roofs< 1 cm, the low was as now 0.3 C

Light-moderate snow until just after midnight then dry and cloudy until about 0700 when further light-moderate snow moved in from the west.

 Temp; -0.5c

Overnight min; -1.3c

Grass min; -0.9c ( thermometer buried in snow )

Rainfall in 24 hrs ending 0900; 4.9 mm

Mean wind speed; 15 mph E

Mean depth of lying snow; 7.3cm. 100% cover

Since my earlier post, ocnl rain and snow with brief bursts of mainly snow, not settling, T now up to 1.7 C with Td +1 C

Further light to moderate snow last night, though this died out late evening, leaving a mostly cloudy night with a touch of frost for a time. There was a slow thaw through the early hours. Further snow commenced towards dawn, light at first turning moderate mid morning producing a further patchy wet cover 70% of 2cm.

 

24-hour maximum 2.4c

24-hour minimum -0.5c

Minimum temperature on grass -0.1c thermometer covered in snow

Maximum wind gust: Midnight to Midnight) 25.3mph E

Rainfall total = 3.1mm 

Snow depth 2cm 70%

Conditions at 09:00 GMT

Visibility 0.25 mile

Temperature: 0.5c

Yesterday. 

 

Clear spell last night, widespread moderate frost forming. Turning cloudy towards midnight, though staying dry here. Cloudy feeling cold in a moderate east wind. Light showery snow late morning, this turning more continuous by mid afternoon, though staying mostly light. The snow turned moderate at times by evening producing a covering around 2cm.

A very cold with Snow heavy at times all day Snow depth by the end of the afternoon 14cm to 15cm

Max temp 0.9C now 0.3C, Barometer 990mb falling slowly, Wind F1 NNE, Rainfall 4.8mm

A day when the kitchen sink gets thrown into the mix..
A min of -0.9c and a max of 2.5c dropped to 0.4c now..
Heavy snow first thing and 8 inches of snow drifting all morning just steady..
Snow eased off then midday flakes come down real fast like frozen snow then a very heavy burst or snow shower...Freezing fog first thing,then much more fog this afternoon..
Rain came after 1pm drizzle dry gaps...Late afternoon freezing rain or freezing drizzle..
East wind..
