Frost here in Birmingham last night (08/04/05), and a brisk Northerly wind.

Although the overnight low was 3C, it gave a very un-expected layer of Ice all over my car this morning. The forecast was for a low of 7-9C.

Er, predicted min was 2c. Actual recorded min -4c and a very white frost until the sun came up

Well blow me down, I was staggered to reset my thermometer this morning with it having recorded a min of -3c

And then I spoke to a local taxi driver who had returned from Gatwick with readings on his car thermo between 0 to -2c at 3am!!
