Weather type: Heavy Downpours

Affecting: Eastern England, but an emphasis on Northern and Eastern England within the next few hours

Date Valid For: 16:54 Wednesday 13th October - 00:00 Thursday 14th October 2004

Time Of Issue: 16.54 Wednesday 13th October 2004.

A Low pressure system currently lies across the UK, bands of heavy, torrential and at times thundery downpours are currently effecting parts of Eastern England, The area which is of most concern is currently to the East of Manchester, This area of intense rainfall is likely to move NNE into North East England soon. Locally torrential downpours will lead to localised flooding. Overnight this risk will extend to more Southern areas with heavy and squally showers moving in from the South West

Confidence Level: 70%
