    Affecting: Many areas of the UK, but in particular southern and eastern parts of England.

    A low pressure system currently lies across southern parts of England. Bands of heavy, torrential and at times thundery downpours are currently affecting many parts of southeastern England. The areas of most concern are Southeast England, East Anglia, the Midlands and parts of Central, Southern England, This area of intense rainfall is espected to slowly move N/NE during the morning. Locally torrential downpours will lead to localised flooding and dangerous travelling conditions.

    Further heavy showers are likely almost anywhere in the UK today.
