Something fell on the Cat and Fiddle last night, 515m/1,689ft ASL.  Looking foggy on the tops. 🙂

Just been doing a bit of a job outside and whether it’s cold enough for snow or not, it’s a horrible raw feeling day.

I’m certainly glad it’s sorted and I can carry on with inside ones.

A cold overcast morning, current temp 2.8 degrees, about to give way to a lengthy wet and increasingly windy day. One of those winter Sunday's that will be dark before you know it.

Becoming increasingly windy here and rain in the air now, so main rain band is obviously not far away. As well that yesterday was so nice here because I don't think we are going to be seeing any more nice days for a while.

A truly awful day. Washed the car this morning, it was bitterly cold. Moderate rain and gusty winds here now. Glad to be inside.

Yes, definitely a day for staying inside.  Gusts up to 28mph here so not so bad, noisy though, seems noisier than Eowyn, SE wind for my location must howl through more than SWrly.

A yucky winter hibernation day, what a contrast to yesterday, rain and wind. Next better weather day looking like Thursday currently.

Think we'll have a mixed February, best chance of a colder shot/ spell Mid-Late month.

Definitely some sort of shield going on. Glad to see it does actually happen with rain too in a SE'y wind, that does soften the blow when it happens with snow. Got blown to bits walking earlier. One of those "bad hair" days where you are constantly messing about rearranging your mane and hoping people don't think you've just rolled out of bed like that. Vanity eh? 😂 Should've put my hat on 😩

Rain has never really got going here either, as said maybe the shield has done it’s best as it would if snow was on the menu.

Still bitter cold though.

Well, it's a grim day out there. Not much rain so far but the wind and cold temperature are a nasty mix. Had to nip out, on foot, to shops. Glad I'm done for the day now...

Sure the GFS is on a trolling mission this weekend, no consistency in any of the output beyond 5-10 days. Average, faux cold, phantom hints of Easterly cold, tonight a double figure taste of Spring. Take your pick! 🙈😄

A true drab uneventful January Sunday. Chilly, max about 5.5 degrees. Expected heavier rain than what has fallen so far.

January set to end on a rather average non-descript note once tomorrow out of the way, but it will go down as very seasonal from start to finish, not many months can say that.

I think there's still all to play for in the ensembles, as long as we have some runs that hit -10c then we are still in the game. Today though, for the first time and despite the cloud that I'm noticing the days are starting to lengthen. Mornings are still making slow progress though.

shadowfax aye a covering of wet snow on the bathroom window when I got up and there’s patchy snow on the drive.

I really didn’t expect to see that.
