Andy Bown ‘Tis a great word to describe drizzle that cannot be detected by the radar Andy, I like it. You could be onto to something there.

Dorset mist, as the trees prepare for winter.

Is that Wimborne way?

Quite correct, Moor Crichel. Shall be back next week to see if the colours have improved, as long as we get no winds for the next 5 days it should have improved, as we've been out there 4 weeks on a row to check them out.

 Dorsetbred

Keep meaning to dash by, when we head that way to the coast. Always forget.

We're going to Hillier's gardens on Saturday to check out the colours. 🤞🏽

Also...off to see the Sarum lights this evening at Salisbury Cathedral, where there'll be all sorts of colours, albeit man made.

Hang in there as the position of the High moves westward there's hope for a break and some sunshine into next week before a possible shift allowing the westerlies to creep in.

I am thinking the drizzle is an elevation thing because Westbury is dry overhead and underfoot, completely the opposite to Warminster!

Visible drizzle here this evening, enough to wet the ground but not actually measurable so 'trace' it has to be.

Haven't seen the sun since last Friday here, seems I was lucky to see that even if it only lasted a few minutes. The drizzle today was the only thing of any interest, if you call it that, lately.

jy Yeah, walked this morning and did spot a large family of long tailed tits, but not much else.

Dahlias are still going, so another positive.

It was drizzly at the cathedral thing last night, which was part inside, part outside. Would've been a nightmare in proper rain.

Back to 5 day weeks for three weeks on cover, so I won't be missing much tomorrow.

Morning All, a slight but noticeable change this morning, the wind direction has moved towards the SE rather than E, and the wind speed has increased to a light breeze, after an overnight low of 10.4°C at: 00:00 currently 11.6°C, RH95% with broken clouds at an altitude of 1,200 ft.

From Above it looks like Hartland / Titchberry is the place to be currently.
