BBC national news had a reporter down on Weston seafront, a bit strange seeing where you live on the main news, at least they got the spelling correct unlike a few hours ago when it was Western-super-Mare! 🤡

Evening all, popped in before my Cornwall holiday in June, and I'm popping back in again, from the London south east thread, just to say I hope you'll be OK over the next 24 hrs or so.

Wind has changed direction here and is coming in over the hill above me, notable decrease in noise, hoping / fingers crossed it stays that way into tomorrow aswell!

Just got back from the pub. Little bit tipsy.. wind is strong but guess as it’s a red warning the gusts will be quite severe for a relatively short period and by the time I wake up will probably be gone. We sleep with a fan on so might not hear anything anyway. Stay safe peeps

Just had a pretty crazy hail storm come down, very noisy. Absolutely wild out there.

My Cabana just tipped over! Pretty gusty but nothing out of the ordinary, still not looking forward to dog walking this morning.

I haven't recorded anything spectacular here. Mostly mid-30's gusts, with a few higher. Certainly not the 64mph that the Met Office are showing.

People posting on socials about going to work in it etc… unless it’s essential work - why would you do that? The red warning is there to stop you from endangering yourself?!

It is noisy here.. reports of trees down etc so far

Nothing much here from overnight. maybe will pick up in next few hours.

Wind speed has been constant around 20-23mph, fairly regular gusts of 30-34 mph.

Met office showed in late 50s gusts overnight and 60-63mph for last few hours and next few.

4mm of rain 8pm to midnight, but been dry since.

Strong gusts of wind here. It looks as if my back fence has survived which is a bonus. We're quite exposed up here, so hopefully no structural damage.

A few power trips in the last hour. Ground is mostly dry due to hardly any rain.

Electrician is supposed to be coming at 8am, but he's just texted to say he'll be late as he's lost some fence panels.

Pretty gusty out there. A few things scattered around where they shouldn't be in the garden.

It's definitely  windy . Just checked Boscombe down weather site  by the looks of it  had quite a few 60mph gusts  and it certainly feels like it . Sat in bed can actually feel the house shake everytime there is a big gust.
